It is also low in fat and calories, a good source of plant-based protein, and good for digestive health.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 300 ml plant-based milk (e.g., soy or almond milk)
  • 5-7 tablespoons of classic Brinta bran (if Brinta is not available to you, use whole-wheat, oat or buckwheat bran or a mixture of various bran)
  • ½ teaspoon coconut oil
  • 1 teaspoon dates syrup
  • Spices: pinch of salt, cinnamon, cardamom, and ginger powder
  • Toppings: cacao nibs, shredded coconut, a piece of dark chocolate cut into chunks and a few drops of lemon juice

INSTRUCTIONS:

Preheat the plant-based milk together with coconut oil. Once warm add it to the serving bowl along with bran (adjust the bran quantity according to the consistency you prefer), dates syrup and spices. Top with cacao nibs, shredded coconut, and dark chocolate chunks. Drizzle with a few drops of lemon juice. Enjoy!

Vrijeme je za kašu od mekinja – ukusan, zdrav, zasitan i brzinski doručak. Za ovaj recept koristila sam mekinje od cjelovitog zrna pšenice, bogate hranjivim tvarima i vlaknima. Mekinje su također niskokalorične, s niskim udjelom masti, a ujedno su i dobar izvor biljnih bjelančevina i dobre su za probavu.

SASTOJCI:

  • 300 ml biljnog mlijeka (npr. sojinog ili bademovog)
  • 5-7 žlica mekinja (od pšenice, zobi, heljde ili mix različitih mekinja)
  • ½ čajne žličice kokosovog ulja
  • 1 čajna žličica sirupa od datulja
  • Začini: prstohvat soli, cimeta, kardamoma i đumbira u prahu
  • Za ukrasiti: kakao nibs, mrvice kokosa, 1 kocka tamne čokolade izrezana na komadiće i par kapi soka od limuna

UPUTE:

Zagrijte biljno mlijeko zajedno s kokosovim uljem. Toplo miljeko dodajte u zdjelicu za posluživanje zajedno s mekinjama (prilagodite količinu mekinja prema željenoj konzistenciji), sirupom od datulja i začinima. Ukrasite s kakao nibsima, mrvicama kokosa, i komadićima tamne čokolade. Poprskajte s par kapi soka od limuna. Uživajte!
